Dozens of Saudi soldiers were killed in a Yemeni missile attack against a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border region of Asir.

The unnamed Yemeni military force told al-Masirah News that the Yemeni army and their allies launched the ballistic missile at the al-Montazah base Tuesday killing scores of Saudi soldiers and mercenaries while destroying two armored vehicles.

Following this attack, the Yemeni and Houthi soldiers launched a barrage of artillery fire at the Mosallas al-Rakbah base in the Saudi Jizan region, resulting in a blaze that wiped out the military site.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
