The Yemeni army and popular forces repelled four advance attempts by the Saudi-paid mercenaries toward Kasad area in al-Zahir district of la-Badha province overnight, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.
The military operation also killed and injured scores of mercenaries.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
