A Yemeni security official revealed a high-level coordination between the Saudi intelligence and Al Qaeda focused on kidnapping foreign nationals working with humanitarian relief agencies in a number of Yemeni provinces.

"Liaison officers working with the Saudi intelligence met leaders from al-Qaida the border-crossing of Al-Waidah on Saturday, 29 October, to coordinate the kidnapping operations," the official told the state-run news agency Saba.

Yemen’s Interior Ministry called on Arab and other foreign nationals working with humanitarian relief organizations to coordinate their movements with the security agencies, to be aware of their surroundings and to take extra precautions when travelling throughout the country.
