At least seven other civilians have been killed in aerial attacks carried out by Saudi war jets in Yemen’s northern Sa’ada province.

Yemen’s al-Masirah TV reported on Thursday that the victims lost their lives when Saudi-led warplanes hit their vehicle in the city of Baqam.

Saudi war jets reportedly targeted a number of different areas in Sa’ada. There were no reports on casualties.

Meanwhile, in retaliation for the deadly Saudi-led aggression, Al-Masirah reported that the Yemeni army backed by the Popular Committees loyal to the Houthi Ansarullah movement gained complete control over a Saudi military base in the Saudi city of Najran.

The Yemeni forces also managed to kill a number of Saudi mercenaries after targeting Tabat al-Khazan area in Yemen’s Ta’iz province.

According to Yemen’s official Saba news agency, the Yemeni army prevented Saudi mercenaries from advancing in Bani Shabib in Yemen’s Ibb province, where they killed at least 15.

The developments came shortly after Saudi war jets mistakenly carried out attacks against the Riyadh-allied militants who fight against Ansarullah forces in Yemen’s southern province of Shabwah, killing nearly 18.

Yemen has been under harsh military attack by a Saudi-led coalition since March.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out a deadly military aggression on Yemen by launching airstrikes against the country since March 26 in a bid to restore power to fugitive former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The airstrikes have not been authorized by the United Nations [UN].

Over 2,615 civilians have been killed in the conflict in the last six months, according to the UN. Yet, other organizations put the death toll at much higher. According to the Yemeni health ministry, the death toll from the Saudi-led aggression is more than 6,000 so far, adding that 1,277 of those killed were children.
