A number of the Saudi-backed militants belonging to the Islah party were killed and wounded on Tuesday in an armed ambush carried out in Yemen’s southern province of Abayn, sources said.
The sources stated that the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia carried out the armed ambush against the Islah militants in Jarrah area, east of al-Mahfed city, destroying also three military vehicles.
According to the sources, the ambush was carried out against Islah military vehicles with a number of military crews on the main road in the same area, using various weapons.
