Specialized units in the army and popular committees have shot down a Saudi spy plane in Yemen’s northwestern province of Sa’ada, while the US-led Saudi aggression continues with its unabated aerial assaults against the country.
A military source in Sa’ada told SABA that the specialized units of the army and popular committees managed to bring down a second Saudi spy plane in a week, noting that the spy drone was downed in the border Al-Hasamah area in Al-Thahir district in Sa’ada.
The source pointed out that the army and popular committees downed the first spy drone three days ago in Al-Osha area in Kitaf district.

The US-led Saudi aggression began in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to the country’s fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
As a result, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters has been responding to the aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
