Undersecretary of Yemen’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohamed Al-Mansour, described the discovery of a coronavirus case in Hadhramaut as ‘unfortunate’.

Earlier in the day, officials in the resigned regime of former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi announced the first COVID-19 case in the country’s east-central province.

"We had warned earlier about the danger of not closing the ports by the aggression forces, and they still ignored the warning,” Al-Mansour added.

Al-Mansour stressed on the necessity of implementing preventive measures the first of which is closing the ports and preventing the gatherings. He pointed out that the United Nations no longer cares about the humanitarian situation. Instead it is counting cases and is concerned with strict measures to counter the deliberate spread of the virus in Yemen.

He called on the Yemeni people to seriously follow the instructions and directives of the Ministry of Health.

The authorities of the aggression in the south announced this morning that they had detected the first case of Coronavirus in Hadramout Governorate, which is under the Saudi-Emirati occupation.
