The official spokesman of the Ansarullah movement, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, said that the position of Ansarullah before and after the aggression is that political dialogue is the only way out in order to reach fair solutions to the Yemeni crisis.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Abdul-Salam said that, "Our position was before and after the aggression with the belief that political dialogue is the only exit in order to realize fair political solutions to the Yemeni crisis".
He noted that, for this end, they have had many talks with the United Nations’ [UN] envoy to Yemen and the European Union [EU] as well as some permanent state members of the United Nations Security Council [UNSC], in addition to Oman and other countries over how to end the aggression, lift the embargo and resume dialogue without any pre-conditions.
"We positively dealt with all the proposed solutions based on the national and moral responsibility towards the oppressive war against our Yemeni people", Abdul-Salam said.
He pointed out that they agreed on 7 September on points [Muscat Principles] in the Omani capital with the UN Secretary General envoy in order to be the access and a comprehensive framework for the solution as a one package.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies backed by the United States began to launch a military aggression against Yemen by launching air strikes against the country in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former Yemeni President, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.
The ’civilian’ death toll in Yemen has risen to more than 2,300 with more than 4,000 other civilians wounded in the fighting in the country that has raged for more than a year now, according to the UN recently this month [September]. Yet, other organizations put the death toll at much higher.
