Yemen’s Foreign Ministry on Friday condemned in the strongest terms the US attack against the Quds Force Commander Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that what the U.S. committed against these two great leaders is a big adventure that would exacerbate the tense conditions in the region.

“Such a cowardly act amounts to the level of acts threatening international peace and security. It reveals the great American hatred toward anybody defending the just causes of the oppressed Islamic nation,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry expressed the condolences of the Republic of Yemen to the families of the two great martyrs and to the people and governments of both Iran and Iraq.

The United States carried out a drone strike early Friday killing Soleimani, Al-Muhnadis and their companions near Baghdad International Airport.
