Yemen’s army spokesperson revealed on Thursday the downing of a reconnaissance aircraft.
“The air defense system shot down a reconnaissance drone belonging to the countries of aggression in Al-Sobh area off Najran,” Brigadier General Yahya Saree said in a Twitter post.
The drone was shot down using a “suitable weapon” as it conducted hostile operations in border areas, Saree added.
On Wednesday, Yemen’s air defense system thwarted a Saudi F-15 fighter aircraft flying in the skies over the mountainous northwestern province of Saada when the armed forces launched a surface-to-air Saqib missile.
