Acting governor of Yemen’s Hodeida, Mohammed Qahim, discussed on Thursday with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) team the activities and program being implemented in various sectors in the province.
During the meeting, Qahim pointed out that these projects would alleviate the suffering of people and contribute to improve Hodeida port.
The acting governor also expressed the local authority’s readiness to help the UNDP overcome all the difficulties and challenges it faces in the province.
He stressed the need to double UNDP activity and its role to defeat great challenges confronting the local authority and residents in light of the siege and military escalation imposed by the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries.
For its part, the UNDP team affirmed it would exert efforts to back development and strengthen the various partnership between the program and the local authorities in the province.
