Saudi Mercenary Operations Unsuccessful on the Border with Yemen

Yemeni army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree has said: "Yemeni forces and popular committees have foiled several operations by the Saudi aggressor coalition mercenaries on the border between the two countries."

According to Saree, the agents of the Saudi coalition failed to make any headway despite sustained air support, and in fact, suffering heavy losses.

The Yemeni army killed or injured dozens of mercenaries, taking a number of invaders captive.

Saudi Arabia began its war on Yemen in March 2015 in a bid to forcefully reinstall a former regime and eliminate the Ansarullah movement.

The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed nearly 100,000 Yemenis, based on a research done by the US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED), a nonprofit conflict-research organization.
