Yemeni Official Meets Iranian FM

The head of Yemen’s national delegation Mohammad Abdul Salam met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif over the weekend.

During the meeting, both official discussed ways of enhancing bilateral and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Zarif expressed Iran’s support for a political solution among warring Yemeni parties in the war-torn country and called for an end the Saud-led coalition’s siege and aggression.

They also discussed joint cooperation and reviewed regional developments.

For his part, Abdul-Salam conveyed the leader of the Houthi Ansarullah movement Abdul Malik Badreddine al-Houthi’s thanks for Zarif's message of condolence on the martyrdom the former’s brother.

He also gave a report on the latest field and political developments in Yemen and the prospect of a political solution as well as the latest humanitarian situation in the Arab country.
