The Saudi-led coalition said it started an operation to target ‘military positions’ in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, according to state TV early on Saturday.
According to the Saudis, the targets allegedly included air defense sites and ballistic missile depots.
The Saudi-led military campaign against Yemen started in March 2015. It has devastated the infrastructure and killed tens of thousands of civilians. Many more have dies as a result of disease in what the UN described as the world’s worst humanitarian disaster.
