The Yemeni Petroleum Company said on Sunday that the Saudi-led coalition captured a ship carrying oil derivatives, making the number of oil vessels held at sea a total of six.
“The total of oil derivatives held by the aggression amounted to 65 thousand and 379 tons of gasoline and 47 thousand and 459 tons of diesel,” the company said in a statement.
In March 2019, the head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee (SRC), Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, informed UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Mark Lowcock about names of the oil-derivative vessels retained by the Saudi-led coalition.
Despite having obtained permits from the United Nations mechanism, the Saudi-led coalition continues to hold oil derivatives and prevent their entry into Yemen.
