Yemen’s Minister of Defense Major General Mohammad Nasser al-Atifi stated on Sunday that the newly unveiled military hardware “will enhance the Yemeni military capabilities”, stressing that they could act as game changers in the face of the Saudi-led military aggression against the Arab country.
Al-Atifi was among the many Yemeni officials attending an exhibition showcasing the latest domestically-made military hardware.
Among the attendees were Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Revolutionary Committee (RSC) Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, President of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Mahdi al-Mashat, Speaker of the House of Representatives Yahya al-Ra'i, Prime Minister Abdel-Aziz bin Habtour, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Major General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan and Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Yahia Saree.
The minister added that weapons “will change the course of battle against the countries of the aggression”, highlighting that they have been successfully tested in several operations and proved their efficacy and accuracy to hit designated targets.
The new pieces of military hardware include Quds-1 winged missile, the high-altitude Sammad-1 (Invincible-1) reconnaissance drone, long-endurance Sammad-3 (Invincible-3) unmanned aerial vehicle as well as Qasef-2k (Striker-2k) combat drone.
