Germany on Thursday expressed deep concern regarding the situation in Yemen, reiterating “its full support for the Group of Eminent Experts (GEE) on Yemen and its important work.”
Speaking during the 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Germany’s Michael Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg called “on all parties to the conflict to continue engaging constructively with the GEE.”
He also urged Yemen’s warring sides “to ensure access for the GEE to the country and to provide the necessary information to the GEE to enable them to carry out their mandate.”
