The Yemeni army on Monday repelled an attack carried out by militants loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Jawf province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the official, dozens of militants were killed and injured during their attempts to advance towards the army’s locations in Astor valley of Khub Washaef district.
Earlier in the day, a military vehicle was destroyed in Sabreen area in the same district by an explosive device planted by the army’s engineering unit. All its crew members were killed in the operation.
