The Yemeni army on Saturday launched an offensive on the sites of militants loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen’s Jwaf province.
The battle, which took place in Zurqat al-Saqiah area in Maslub district, left dozens of militants dead and wounded, a military official disclosed.
Saudi Arabia and its allies unleashed a deadly military aggression against Yemen in March 2015 in an attempt to forcefully reinstall the country’s former Riyadh-allied regime.
The Saudi-led offensive has destroyed Yemen's infrastructure and led to famine in the import-dependent state.
Thousands of people were killed and hundreds of thousands of others were displaced.
