Hadi Regime To Leave Aden, Settle In Mahra

Informed sources revealed on Monday that the resigned regime of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi is considering a proposal to leave the southern port city of Aden and settle in the eastern province of Mahra.

This comes after the UAE occupation forces imposed their control on the city of Aden. Meanwhile, members of the Hadi regime refuse to return from Riyadh to Aden due to the state of insecurity state in the city, which includes assassinations.

The sources pointed out that the proposal to transfer the regime’s headquarters to Mahra province is a Saudi decision. The move will guarantee Saudi Arabia to implement its oil pipeline project at the Arabian Sea.

Observers considered that the Hadi regime had definitively abandoned the city of Aden and handed it to the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council”, which announced early last month the capture of all government institutions.

The move comes as a declaration of separation by the transitional council, after the UAE occupation tightened its grip on Aden and established a military base in the Gulf of Aden.

Meanwhile, the UAE-backed militias continue to control oil areas in Shabwa and Hadramout provinces, after they had taken most of the southern provinces.
