Some 360 Sudanese troops arrived in the Yemeni town of Khokha on Wednesday and Thursday.
They reportedly traveled from the province of Aden in two separate bus convoys with more expected to arrive on Friday.
Their arrival comes amid reports that the Saudi-led coalition is mobilizing forces for a new escalation of violence in the area.
The Al Khokha district lies in Yemen’s Hodeidah province where the coalition has been trying to capture the provincial capital and the strategic port city Hodeidah.
