Yemen Unveils Locally-Made Ballistic Missile System

The President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council (SPC), Mahdi al-Mashat, unveiled a new locally-made short-range ballistic missile system, Badr 1-p on Saturday.

During his visit to the military manufacturing department of the Yemeni Defense Ministry, al-Mashat said the missile system would change the war on Yemen led by the Saudi-led coalition.

The missile force said the Badr 1- P system operates using solid fuel. It hits its target accurately.

The missile force explained that the achievements came to defend Yemen’s sovereignty and deter the war crimes and violations has been committed by Saudi-led coalition against the Yemeni civilians since March 2015.

It added that Yemen has come to possess missile capabilities in 2018 and other systems will be revealed soon.
