The spokesperson of the Yemeni National Salvation Government Abdel Salam Jaber on Monday called on all international aid organization to urgently intervene to evacuate the stranded people of Mahrah province due Tropical Cyclone Luban that struck the eastern areas of Yemen and threatening people with death, after floods trapped them in their homes.
He commented on the coalition’s rejection for the request made by the Sultanate of Oman to evacuate the stranded people in its helicopters.
He said that the coalition took advantage of the Tropical Cyclone Luban to impose collective punishment on the people of Mahrah who rejected the Saudi occupation.
Jaber appealed to UN organizations and bodies to pressure the Saudi-led coalition to allow the evacuation, rescue and relief operations for the people.
He also called on Yemen’s official and popular relief agencies to aid the people in the province.
