The Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah condemned Thursday the Saudi-led attack on a bus that killed at least 43 children in Saada.
“It [Saudi aggression] went after its hideous instincts of murder and bloodshed of innocents. Its warplanes carried out dozens of indiscriminate raids that traumatized women and children in their homes, schools, cars and cities,” the statement read.
The movement “strongly” condemned “these massacres and murder, which reveal the extent of failure this aggression is facing”, adding that the coalition has “restored to the worst forms of terrorism and violence to cover the failures and military defeats inflicted by brave Yemeni men.”
“Hezbollah expressed “its sincere sympathy and offers its condolences to the Yemeni leadership, people as well as the families of martyrs and wounded,” the statement continued.
The Yemeni Health Ministry reported that at least 50 civilians, mostly children, lost their lives and around 77 others were wounded in the attack.
A Saudi-led coalition, which groups a number of Arab states, launched its military campaign against Yemen in March 2015. The conflict has since killed tens of thousands and left Yemen facing the worst humanitarian crisis in recent generations.
