Forces loyal to ousted Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi say armed men riding on a motorcycle have gunned down one of their senior intelligence officer in the southern port city of Aden.
Nasser Makrij was killed on Sunday while walking on a street near his home in Aden.
He was the chief intelligence officer at Aden airport. No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Such incidents have become increasingly frequent in part of Yemen under the control of pro-Hadi militias.
Experts attribute the killings to a growing rift between members of the coalition bombing Yemen, namely Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
