The Gulf-backed troops in western Yemen suffered heavy losses tonight after the Houthi forces scored a direct hit on their positions along the coast.
According to the official media wing of the Houthi forces, their rocket battalion fired a Qaher-2M ballistic missile at a gathering of Gulf-backed troops in the southern part of the Hodeida Governorate, resulting in heavy losses in the latter’s ranks.
This latest missile strike comes just 72 hours after the Houthi forces launched a massive counter-assault to recapture the ground they lost to the Gulf-backed fighters in southern Hodeida.
The Houthi operation resulted in the recapture of the entire Al-Jah area and the death of more than 50 Gulf-backed fighters.
