Iran’s Minister of Defense Amir Hatami has denied the allegations about the presumed shipment of weapons to Yemen. It is a strategy of the US and allies to draw attention away from crimes committed in that Gulf nation, he stated. ''While Yemen is blocked to receive medicines and food, the supply of weapons and missiles is not possible'', Brigadier General indicated during a meeting with Dutch Ambassador Susana Trestal, the local media reported.
US authorities and its allies are trying to divert attention from the crimes committed in Yemen, he upheld.
Hatami called on the Netherlands, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, to take position to avoid women, children and other innocent persons be massacred in Yemen.
Previously, an official release of the Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected Saudi Arabia accusations about the shipment of weapons and missiles to Yemen.
The comments made by the Saudi officials are closely related to the desperation of the kingdom for its failure in Yemen, the spokesman of the Iranian External Affairs Ministry Bahram Qassemi added.
When Riyadh and its allies, included the United Arab Emirates, began the war, they thought they were going to reach their occupation goal, but after three years, we are witness of the collapse of Saudi Arabia and its failed purposes, Qassemi quoted.
