The artillery force of the Yemeni army and popular committees shelled Saudi sites and gatherings overnight in the border provinces of Jizan, Najran and Asir, a military official told Yemen’s state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.
In Jizan, Saudi positions located in the center of Mahulah in Qais mountain as well as the Malhma site were shelled.
In Najran, Saudi-paid mercenaries’ gatherings in Alib Mountain, Sudais and Shurfah sites, and Nahuqa site were also targeted by the Yemeni army and the popular committees.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a destructive military campaign against Yemen since March 2015 to reinstate former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and crush the Houthi movement.
The campaign has seriously damaged the country’s infrastructure. Local Yemeni sources have put the death toll from the Saudi war at over 13,000, including many women and children.
