The humanitarian coordinator for Yemen, Jamie Mcgoldrick, said he was “horrified” at the continued violence in Yemen.

“On 1 November, 31 people, including six children, were killed and 26 others were wounded by an air strike that struck a busy night market in Sahar district in Sa’ada governorate. Field reports indicate that on 3 November another air strike hit a house in Baqim district in Sa’ada governorate, killing a whole family of seven people, including two children and two women,” Mcgoldrick said in a statement released on Sunday by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a destructive military campaign against Yemen since March 2015 to reinstate former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and crush the Houthi movement.

The campaign has devastated the country’s infrastructure and created a humanitarian catastrophe, leaving tens of thousands dead, including women and children.
