The Houthi-Saleh alliance has continued conducting guerrilla warfare operations against Saudi-led coalition forces and their allies in western Yemen.
Clashes took place in the Midi desert, the Al-Tiba Al-Hamra area, near the Al-Khanjar camp and in the Hozan area near Dhubab. According to pro-Yemeni sources, Houthi-Saleh allinace fighters caused notable casualties to pro-Saudi forces, destroyed their positions and seized weapons.
The Saudi-led coalition is able to make a little progress against the Houthi-Saleh alliance despite the air superiority and US assistance.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
