Saudi-led Coalition Recruit Women in Espionage Operations in Taiz

A security source in Yemen’s Taiz province confirmed that the Saudi-led coalition is recruiting women to work as spies for the Saudi-backed forces.

The women’s roles included monitoring the positions of the Yemeni army and the popular committees as well as tracking their movements in the province.

In a statement to Yemen’s official News Agency Saba, the source disclosed the presence of two women working within a cell. He stressed that they are members of the coalition.

The cell has admitted that two women had been recruited and involved in monitoring and tracing.

The source also revealed that the members of this network admitted to handing several lists of targets which included positions of the Yemeni army and the popular committees in different areas of Taiz to the coalition forces. They also admitted to tracking the movements of vehicles and heavy weapons and areas of concentrations of the army and the popular committees.

The Yemeni security services have recently published a series of confessions of a number of cells monitoring and tracking the army’s movements.

According to confessions of the cell members, they were recruited and headed by leaders of the Islah Party in Taiz province.
