The Saudi-led coalition’s fighter jets accidently killed eight Yemeni regime troops, RT Arabic reported.
Soldiers under the command of resigned Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi were killed in a raid by the Saudi coalition in northern Yemen’s Saada province.
Saudi Arabia has not commented on the event.
Saada is the stronghold of the Houthi revolutionary movement where incursions and ballistic missiles are regularly executed across the southern border in to Saudi Arabia.
Riyadh is leading a coalition of Arab states which began launching airstrikes in Yemen in March 2015 to restore to power Hadi.
The military campaign has seriously damaged the country’s infrastructure. Local Yemeni sources have put the death toll from the Saudi war at over 12,000, including many women and children.
