The Yemeni army backed by the popular forces launched retaliatory attacks against Saudi troops and mercenaries across the frontline, a military official disclosed to the state-run news agency Saba on Sunday.
The allied forces’ artillery shelled groups of the positions of the Saudi soldiers in al-Sababah, Kirs, Shabakah and al-Abadaih military sites. Meanwhile their missile forces hit other gatherings in al-Qafle village and destroyed a Saudi military vehicle in Jalah military site and a bulldozer in Zabaid site in Jizan province.
In Najran province, the artillery units shelled Saudi positions in ofal-Sudis, Rashaha, western Makhraoqa, al-Fawaz, al-Dhaba'ah and al-Ashah military sites.
In Jawf province, the allied forces backed by the Ansarullah revolutionaries destroyed a military vehicle of the Saudi-paid mercenaries in Ham area of Maton district and also hit gatherings of mercenaries in the north of Medi desert in Jizan province as well as Namlah valley area of Nehm area in Marib province.
Yemen’s national army also killed six Saudi-paid mercenaries in various operations and tarheted their positions in Namlah valley area of Nehm area of Marib province.
In Lahij governorate, the army and popular forces foiled an attempt by the mercenaries to infiltrate toward Kahbub area, causing large losses.
Elsewhere, in the country’s Taiz province, dozens of mercenaries were killed, including a number of Emiratis and Sudanese when the missile forces fired a barrage of Katyusha missiles on their gathering in Mokha district, the official said.
