Yemen’s armed forces are continuing to put pressure on Saudi Arabia’s military installations in the kingdom’s southern provinces.
In the latest round of fighting the Yemeni army backed by the country’s popular committees launched a series of operations targeting the provinces of Jizan and Asir.
According to security officials in Sanaa, Yemeni forces shelled a number of military sites across Jizan and Asir killing and injuring scores of Saudi soldiers.
The attacks, which have been increasingly frequent in recent months, come in response to Saudi Arabia’s ongoing bombardment of Yemen.
while the Yemeni attacks in Saudi Arabia are strictly directed at military targets, Riyadh’s campaign in Yemen has killed over 12,000 civilians, devastating the country’s infrastructure.
