During a Sunday meeting with his cabinet, the President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Saleh al-Sammad, ordered the government to implement decisions aimed at strengthening the frontlines in the country’s battle against the Saudi-led Coalition.
In yet another display of a fully functioning state apparatus, Al-Sammad also discussed the overall performance of the government during Sunday’s meeting, attended by Vice-President Qasim Labuza.
The senior officials touched on the latest developments at a national, regional and international level.
The Supreme Political Council is due to be replaced by a national salvation government formed by the Ansarullah movement and its allies, late last year.
The new body is led by the former governor of Aden, Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor, and is tasked with the administration of country’s internal affairs as well as dealing with Saudi Arabia’s relentless aggression.
It is comprised of 35 ministers, including seven state ministers and three deputy prime ministers.
