Yemen’s Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Thursday with the resident representative of the UN World Food Program (WFP) in Yemen, Stephen Andersen.
The meeting in the capital Sana’a dealt with arrangements for the visit of the WFP Executive Director in Roma Ms. Ertharin Cousin to Yemen scheduled for March 11- 13.
The visit program includes the discussion of the current cooperation aspects between Yemen and the WFP, especially with regard to expanding the assistances being provided by the program to Yemen to face the worsening humanitarian and food crisis due the Saudi aggression on the country.
The WFP’s official would hold several meetings, during her visit, with senior Yemeni officials, in addition to field visits to the humanitarian aid distribution areas.
