The Yemeni Parliament on Wednesday took up debate on the new National Salvation Government’s program ahead of a confidence vote expected soon.
The session led by parliament speaker Yahya al-Raiee with the attendance of parliament members and members of the new cabinet, including Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtour.
The program was presented by bin Habtour and his cabinet on Tuesday.
The parliament stressed its support for the government’s program and formed two subcommittees to study it.
The government’s program was a comprehensive policy, mainly focusing on confronting the US-backed Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.
The program also considers addressing the economic crisis resulted from the ongoing air, sea and land blockade imposed by the Saudi-led coalition.
