Demo in Front of Swedish Parliament Condemning Saudi Aggression Against Yemen

A number of Yemeni and foreign activists organized on Thursday a protest in front of the Swedish parliament in the capital Stockholm to condemn the Saudi-led aggression and blockade against Yemen.

The protesters display a series of photos that reflect the enormity of the Saudi regime’s crimes against the Yemeni people.

A number of activists and politicians also delivered short speeches demanding the Swedish government to cut ties with Saudi Arabia and prevent the export of arms. The activists also demanded the government to stand by the Yemeni people.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
