Fresh Saudi Airstrikes Destroy More Civilian Infrastructure In Yemen

Local Editor

According to Yemeni officials the last 24 hours witnessed another wave of destructive Saudi raids.

As usual civilian infrastructure bore the brunt of the attacks.

In the southwest of the country, Yemen’s third largest city of Tiaz was just one of the targets during the overnight attacks. The Red Sea port city of Mocha also came under attack.

In the Mahweet Governorate, Saudi jets struck the Macsam bridge in the al-Ahjor district, destroying the structure.

Meanwhile just west of the capital Sanaa a park was leveled in the al-Kharijyah district following a total of six strikes in the area.

The provinces of Saada Marib, and al- Hodeidah were also targeted. There has been no official word on the possible number of civilian casualties.

Saudi Arabia launched its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive, former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
