Yemen’s President of the Supreme Political Council, Saleh Al Sammad, issued decree No. 39 for 2016 for amending the first article of the decree No. 16 for 2016 regarding the implementation of the mechanism for granting general amnesty.
The decree was issued on Monday, October 24th 2016, and was ordered to be published in the official gazette.
The first article of decree No. 16 for 2016 was amended to enable the appointment of a main committee to oversee the implementation of the mechanism for granting general amnesty.
The main committee included Khaled Abdulwahab al-Sharif as the head of the committee.
The Deputy of the president’s office, Chief of staff, Acting minister of the local administrative ministry, Acting minister of human rights ministry, Deputy interior minister, Head of lawyers syndicate, Faisal Ahmed Qaid Haidar, Ziyad Ali Sageer al-Shami, Jilaydan Mahmoud Jilaydan, Fahd Hasan Mohammed al-Ezzi, Abdullah Hasan Mutahar al-Woshali, Naïf Abdullah Ahmed Mujaydie, Dhiyab Muhsein Maeyeli, Mohammed Ali al-Ghadir, Dhaif-Allah Rassam, Ahmed Saleh Duwaid, and Abdulkadir Tahir al-Junaydi were all appointed as members of the committee.
