The medical-aid organization Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said it had sent nine tons of medical supplies for dialysis sessions to the Republican Hospital in Yemen’s Taiz province.
In a statement, MSF stated that the patients with kidney failure in Yemen were unable to obtain the necessary health care.
The statement noted that the medical-aid organization is providing medical support to dialysis sessions in the Republican Hospital in Sana’a, Hajjah, Mahwit and Taiz.
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international medical humanitarian organization best known for its projects in war-torn regions and developing countries facing endemic diseases.
It has worked in over 70 countries around the world including Yemen.
In war-torn Yemen, the MSF works in Amran, Aden, Taiza, Ibb, and Dale, while it supports hospitals in Sana’a, Saada, Hajjah, Lahij, and Abyan.
The organization treated more than 49,000 people wounded from the violence. It has also done more 23,000 surgical operations and brought in more than 1760 tons of medical supplies to Yemen since March 2015.
