The Saudi-led aggression warplanes waged on Friday an air raid on houses of citizens in al-Maton district of Jawf province.

The hostile raid targeted the home of Sheikh Mohammed Aidh al-Uqaibi, which led to destroying the house completely and caused damage to neighboring houses, a local official said.

Fighter jets also targeted a mosque in Khab and Sha’af district in Jawf province.

A local official pointed out that the warplanes launched two strikes on a mosque in the district and destroyed it.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
