Tens of thousands of Yemeni protesters took to the streets of the capital Sana’a Monday to protest the continuous Saudi American aggression against Yemen and Washington’s obstruction of any chance for peace and an end to the more than a year Yemeni crisis.

Participants in the mass demonstration and raise their country’s flag as well as banners inscribed with slogans condemning the US role in the aggression.

The demonstrators chanted several slogans denouncing the US-Zionist project that wants to destroy Yemen and the Arab region. They also condemned the continued US interference in Yemeni affairs.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
