A crew of an armored military vehicle were killed when they tried to advance towards the Yemeni army’s and popular committees’ sites near Hilan Mount in Mareb province, a military official said Thursday.
The Saudi hirelings renewed bombing Bani Bareq, Mabda’a, al-Hawl Mount in Nehm district of Sana’a province with Katyusha rockets.
The allied forces repulsed an attempt of the hirelings to advance towards Bani Ali area in Haifan district of Taiz province. At the same time, the hirelings targeted al-Madrab area in al-Waze’yah district with medium weapons.
The hostile Saudi warplanes continued to fly on the skies of the Capital, Taiz, Jawf, Mareb, Sana’a provinces and at low altitude in the western areas of Sa’ada province.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 9,400 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
