The head of Yemen’s national delegation to the peace talks in Kuwait and Ansarulla movement spokesperson, Mohammad Abdul Salam, confirmed Tuesday that 57 prisoners were released in Amran.
"Following the steps taken since the start of the holy month of Ramadan in some provinces today 57 prisoners were released in Amran province today," Abdul Salam posted on his Facebook page.
The Ansarullah spokesperson added that "the other party is refusing, until the moment, any humanitarian steps to work on the release of all prisoners and detainees, despite a UN demand in a meeting with the Committee of detainees and prisoners ... by this step they are ignoring the suffering of a large portion of the Yemeni people."
