A whole family was killed on Thursday following a Saudi airstrike that targeted the Yemeni province of Lahij.

According to Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website the family members were killed whan Saudi fighter jets launched air raids at their house in the Zmran area of Qubtiya directorate.

Coalition fighter jets also launched several sorties hitting a water barrier in Zmran area as well as Aharijh area.

In Sana’a, Al-Arkoub military camp in Khawlan Attawal District was also bombarded by Saudi warplanes.

The provinces of Dhamar, Mareb, and Taiz were also struck by several Saudi air raids.

Yemen has been under military attacks by Saudi Arabia since late March last year. The Saudi military strikes were launched in a failed effort to undermine the popular Houthi Ansarullah movement and bring the former fugitive president back to power.

More than 8,300 people, among them 2,236 children, have been killed and 16,015 others injured since the start of the aggression. The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
