The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees launched a retaliatory attack in Jawf province killing and wounding several Saudi-led coalition troops.
The allied forced fired a ballistic missile known as "Qahir-1" at the Khanjar military camp north east of Yemen.
The missile force of the army and people’s committees launched last Saturday, a ballistic missile of the same type on gatherings of mercenaries in the same site.
This is the fifth ballistic missile to be launched on the gatherings of Saudi invaders and mercenaries in Jawf and Marib provinces since the beginning of March, where among the missile launched were four Qahir-1 rockets and one Toshka missile.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
