Saudi-led air raids on al-Waze’aya district in Taiz province have claimed the lives of four people.

A local official said two citizens were killed in four raids waged by the aggression on al-Radf area in al-Waze’aya district, which also damaged several houses.

Earlier on Monday, two citizens were killed and others were injured in air strikes that targeted two cars at Sha’abwa area in al-Waze’aya district.

The official pointed out that the aggression war jets launched several raids on al-Lisan area in the coastal city of Mocha after hours from other raids that struck the old airport area, west of Taiz city.

The raids on Mocha and al-Waze’aya coincided with other sorties launched by the aggression warplanes and targeted the eastern areas of Sala district in Taiz city and caused damage to citizens’ homes and private and public property.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
