Gunmen from the so-called Al-Qaeda have kidnapped the deputy director of criminal investigation for the coastal regions, Colonel Nasser San’aani, in Hadramout province in southern Yemen on Monday.
Local sources said the militants, who have been in control of the city since it the Saudi-led coalition launched its aggression against Yemen, intercepted San’aani in a street near his home in the city of Mukalla, and forced him to get some electronic devices and paper files from his belonging and eventually took him to an unknown destination.
Takfiris and insurgents are active in the city of Mukalla and in a number of areas in Hadramout and other southern provinces, where the Saudi-led coalition supports them.
