Saudi warplanes on Tuesday launched a series of air raids targeting the Yemeni provinces of Taiz, Amran and Marib.

A military source told Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website that Saudi-led coalition fighter jets launched a raid on the Khalid bin Walid camp in Mokha in the western province of Taiz.

In Amran, warplanes launched three raids on Mount Al-Marha north of the capital Sana’a.

Elsewhere, in the central province of Marib, nine air raids were launched at different parts of Serwah district.

Earlier in the day, several raids targeted Bait Sajlan Bridge in Sirwah District in Mareb province. Also two airstrikes hit the Sufyan Directorate in Amran governorate, while another two raids struck Al-Ghayl District in Jawf province.

Meanwhile, three sorties targeted Mount Al-Sama, four struck Azgool area in Sahar District in Sa’ada province, and two other raids targeted the area of Shomran in Haja province.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 8,300 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
